Aquarius Full Moon is on Aug 9, 2025, at 3:54am EDT.

As a reminder, full moons are a time for release, celebration, and the illumination or revelation of what’s been hidden.

Full Moon in Aquarius is a time when emotions (Moon) and intellect (Aquarius) meet, creating heightened awareness. The Moon here illuminates themes of freedom, innovation, humanitarian values, and group dynamics, often urging us to big picture.

Traditional ruler of Aquarius is Saturn which brings structure, responsibility, and the need for accountability in social roles. Hower, its modern ruler, Uranus, injects disruption, sudden change, awakening, and a push toward individuality. Together, these rulers blend the need for order with the urge for liberation during this lunation.

Aquarius is an Air sign associated with circulation, ankles, calves, and the nervous system in medical astrology. Under this Full Moon, the body may respond in ways tied to both – emotional shifts and energetic surges. Here are some of the physical manifestations of this lunar phase:

  • Restless Energy: feeling wired or unable to sleep, especially if Uranus aspects are strong
  • Twitches or Spasms: especially in legs, calves, or ankles
  • Circulatory Sensitivity: tingling in extremities
  • Nervous Tension: overstimulation, anxiety, or erratic movements
  • Sudden Energy Shifts: going from fatigue to hyperactivity in short bursts

Pluto and Uranus are linking up with Mars in a harmonious Grand Air Trine configuration. With all these planets in Air signs, there’s a surge of intellectual activity. Add Mercury–Pluto opposition to the mix, and we have ourselves a Kite. This four-planet formation carries energy from one to another like electricity running through the nervous system. Uranus and Mars provide supportive energy, helping to ease the tension of the Mercury–Pluto opposition.

Best way to work with this energy is to engage in grounding activities that connect the mind and body. Think breathwork, Kundalini yoga, barefoot walking, or swimming and stretching. Journaling, brainstorming and being in a group of like-minded people can help with integrating insights and lightbulb moments without letting the nervous system spiral into overload.

Uranus is pure Kundalini energy (nerves and electricity running through it) so this is a fantastic transit to get active and practice Kundalini yoga. Allow this energy to flow at its highest frequency. Who knows, if you’re vibrating high enough, you might experience Kundalini rising⚕️

If you have major placements at 17° of Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, or Scorpio, you’ll feel the energy of this lunation stronger than others.

  • Cancer New Moon: A Beginning Rooted in the Past

The Cancer New Moon coincides with Mercury retrograde. On one hand, New Moons symbolize fresh beginnings. On the other, Mercury retrograde reminds us that these beginnings may be connected to something you’ve already started, abandoned, procrastinated on, or simply weren’t ready for the first time around.

  • Jupiter Enters Leo and What it Means for Your Sign

Jupiter – the planet of blessings, luck, and expansion – enters Leo for the first time in 12 years, kissing Cancer goodbye and bringing its Midas touch to regal Leo.

  • Strawberry Full Moon in Capricorn: A Powerful Reality Check

Why Strawberry, you ask? Because June was traditionally the time when strawberries ripened and were harvested, especially in Native American Algonquian traditions. The Full Moon also coincides with the beginning of Mercury retrograde in Cancer.

  • Gemini New Moon: A Portal for Brilliant Ideas

The New Moon is in Gemini, the sign of information, language, communication, thoughts, and ideas. Naturally, the energy is there to support you if you have plans to pitch an idea, launch a project, begin writing, or start an important conversation.

  • Full Blue Moon in Sagittarius at 10°: The Courage to Be Authentic

It’s an interesting month of May. It started with a Full Moon in Scorpio and ends with the Full Moon in Sagittarius.
